Review: Onell Design Glyos Armorvor Kugarrec Onell Design

Onell Design Glyos Armorvor Kugarrec Action FigureAnother nod to a classic and rare action figure, Armorvor Kugarrec hit as part of a trio of new creatures near the end of September. And it's good. Our new pal evokes a classic figure from the Laser Beasts range known in English as "Scope Cougar," named after the game early 20-something toy collectors do at Target at toy runs. And now that I have alienated all of you, I can just gush about this one.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Armorvor Neo Wyverillian

Onell Design Glyos Armorvor Neo Wyverillian Action FigureAlong with the Kugarrec and Arthrodak flavors, the Armorvor Neo Wyverillian dropped three new heads on us all at once - which is kind of stunning, given the Armorvor has only been a Wolf and Neo-Granthan for the last 8 years. Due to Matt Doughty's hesitance to waste anything, this figure is particularly curious - the dragon head is painted grey plastic, and the wings are molded in red plastic. What other parts are hiding out there for future release?

New Armorvor Heads - Inspired by Classic Battle Beasts?

https://onelldesign.blogspot.com/2019/09/savage-cybernetics.html

Why even phrase it as a question? Dropping in about 28 hours, Onell Design posted a preview of its Savage Cybernetics.  Three new Armorvor heads are visible, one of which is a clear nod to the holiest of molies, Laser Beasts Skull Grotess.  Previous Armorvor figures have been great, and we've had Wolf, Armored Wolf, and dinosaur-like Neo Granthan heads so far.

Presumably at least three figures are coming Sunday at 9:30 PM Eastern, so mark your calendars.  Or don't, so I can get mine first.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Armorvor Neo Nonilla Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Armorvor Neo Nonilla Action FigureThink pink with the clear glittery Armorvor Neo Nonilla. Colored like a rabid Lisa Frank binder, this nifty figure brings you the Neo Granthan head with the classic wolf helmet and a backpack. And glitter. So much glitter.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Neo Granthan Cliffstalker Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Neo Granthan Cliffstalker Action FigureThe name is evocative! The Neo Granthan Cliffstalker is a brown, chocolate-flavored take on the Battle Beasts-inspired Glyos figure. With an orange skin and a red Black Core, this feels like many of the popular 1980s robotic toys out of Tomy. While not a perfect match, it immediately reminded me of Robostrux mixed with a little bit of the ever-lovin' blue-eyed Thing. He is orange with blue eyes, after all.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Neo Granthan Vrylless Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Neo Granthan Vrylless Action FigureWhile the name (and an unhelmeted hand-molded head) existed for a while, the mass-produced mold is new here! One of three releases, the Neo Granthan Vrylless marks the replacement of the wolf headed Armorvor in favor of a dinosaur-headed Granthan. Two other figures hit at the same time, each of which use the classic Armorvor body with a new head. The wolf helmet head is still here, and you get 18 total parts as always.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Armorvor Rig Crew Mimic Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Armorvor Rig Crew Mimic Action FigureThe Armorvor Rig Crew Mimic was the final painted wolf headed Armorvor, complete with orangey colored fur. He's not the first one to be close to that color, but he is in fact the last! I appreciate the finality, as the mold is starting to feel old if you're a long-time card-carrying member of the Glyos cult and I'm not sure if the line has fans who aren't more or less on board with buying new figures every few weeks.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Ecroyex Mimic Armorvor Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Ecroyex Mimic Armorvor Action FigureIt's impossible to look at the Ecroyex Mimic Armorvor and not love it. Depending on how old you are, you'll see any of a number of inspirations. Perhaps the blue with red will remind you of some of the "stealth" Iron Man action figures. Perhaps the silver head and blue body will remind you of Micronauts, with the name coming off as a garbled up variation on "Acroyear."

Armorvor Triple Shot - Onell Design Reveals 3 New Glyos Figures

Last year, Onell Design gave us a great wave of 3 new Armorvors (glow, grey, and purple) all at once.  It was glorious.  This year we have 3 more currently nameless figures in blue, flesh (it seems), and ivory colors!

These will be on sale at NYCC this weekend, and for sale online at some point presumably later this month.

As always, yeah, I'll need that set.

Glyos Armorvor Preview: Blue?

In a post about Paint Masks, Onell Design gives us a sneak peek at a future Armovor head!

Of note, it looks like we'll finally be getting a Blue Plastic Armorvor if the neck peg is any indication.  And I'll be buying it, because of course I will.

Tonight: Glyos Neo Gatekeeper Reverse Armorvor

Expanding the Armorvor universe is this beauty!

Click here to preview the latest Onell Design friend of the Battle Beasts, now available in a blisteringly bright pink.  Is it awesome? Yes, yes it is.

It goes on sale at 9:30 Eastern Sunday (tonight) at the Onell Design store.  It should be sold out before midnight.  As always, please let me order mine first because we wants it. Thank you.

New Armorvor Available Now - Engineer Mimic

The Armorvor Engineer Mimic is up for sale at Onell Design right now for the low-low price of $8.00.  If you order it, and love Battle Beasts, I'd suggest ordering one or more Crayboth figures as well - they're sized similarly and lots of fun.

This fine furry fellow is limited to one (1) per customer.  Which stinks as I wanted two, I need new bodies for my The Godbeast heads!

New: Engineer Mimic Armorvor

In this evening's Glyos drop was a new Armorvor, the Engineer Mimic Armorvor.  It's effectively a reversed Venjorun Armorvor figure, which is pretty awesome!  Unlike previous releases it did not immediately sell out, but the Onell Design store is down for maintenance so you may want to keep checking back to see if it comes back online.

The figure is grey and red, and cost $8.00.  Click here to read this fellow's story.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Sonesidar Mimic Armorvor Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Sonesidar Mimic Armorvor Action FigureArmorvors sell out fast, always. At 2 per customer, the Sonesidar Mimic Armorvor sold out rather quickly - I waited a while to write this review so I forget exactly how long, but I know it was under 20 minutes. It was part of the "Operation Sonesidar" series, which was the first series of 2013 which was inspired by the classic Fisher-Price Adventure People action figure line. The bright colors are evocative of the 1970s-1980s line, and this guy matches the driver of the Alpha Star vehicle which I had as a kid. As such, I'm biased - and I like this a lot.

Two New Armorvors Incoming from Onell Design

Not one, but two new Glyos Armorvor action figures are coming this month! One will be released on Friday, the other is exclusive to C2E2.

Soon to be sold online at Onell Design, the black and red Reydurran Mimic Armorvor will be black with red highlights.  It will be $8, and sold out before you remembered you forgot to buy one.  Limit 2.

It will be joined by TheGodBeast Exclusive C2E2 clear red full-production not-a-custom Infection Armorvor, which will be a mere $10 and come in absolutely beautiful packaging with great art and a swell card inside a plastic baggie.  It's limited to 3 per person.  If you're in Chicago, go to C2E2 and grab one.  (Get two, I'll want one too and as far as I know there won't be a mail order option for certain just yet.)

TheGodBeast himself will be on hand selling matching custom hand-cast heads you can swap out for this one, so bring some extra coin to buy a few of those.  They're awesome!

Review: Onell Design Glyos Stealth Armorvor Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Stealth Armorvor Action FigureThe third Armorvor to sell out is the clear, unpainted, colorless Stealth Armorvor. While I personally am not too keen on clear figures, Onell Design seems to have a plastic that really shines if lit properly. I haven't seen a lot of discoloration either, so it's (so far, at least) easy to see this as quality stuff. Many fans buy clear figures not to keep, but to customize by dying them red or green or some other color and you can find some really spiffy designs on the October Toys Forums and elsewhere.

Armorvor Attack - October Series Sells Through in 12 Minutes

Another quick sell-out for Armorvors!  Onell Design posted Armorvor Spectre, Armorvor Veraxxan, and Armorvor Neo Nebula for $8 each last night with a limit of 1 per customer.  The run sold through completely in about 12 minutes.

A new, larger run of newly-decorated figures is slated for next month so if you missed these so far (there have been 6 to date), hold tight-- more are on the way!

Enter the Armorvor: Glyos Releases First Beast Figure

UPDATE: SOLD OUT as of 10:37 Eastern time.

If you can't wait for more releases from Beast Saga, Rise of the Beasts, or Battle Beasts, check out the unnecessary-but-why-stop-now fourth line we'll cover here, a bit.  The Venjorun Armorvor from Onell Design is live now, and is only $8.  It's not as cheap or as 2-packey as the great Vorin and Zik, but it's incredibly customizable and built on the famous, beloved, and just plain fun Glyos System.  This is a unique plug system which basically lets you dismantle and swap figure parts easily.

This figure has been in development at Onell Design for a long time now, and the first one is on sale right now, much to my surprise.  Order it here for $8, if you see this tomorrow it's probably already sold out.

It's an armored wolf figure, and the alternate armored head is a thing of beauty.

Historically, figures from this line can sell out in hours, and some in minutes.  I ordered 3.  I assume others will as well, so if you see this go order one right now.

For more on this line, check out an article I did last year on the first public showing of the early prototype.

Welcome to my overcrowded blog, Armorvors!

For more on Glyos, check out The Glyos News Dump (16bit.com), TheGodBeast Customs (TheGodBeast.com) Outer Space Men News (16bit.com), Glyos Transmissions Web Blog (Official Onell Design site).   Other than Minimates, this is one of the most customizable lines out there today.
